Advanced Data Protection Control (ADPC): An Interdisciplinary Introduction

Overview:

Advanced Data Protection Control (ADPC) is a proposed automated mechanism for communicating users’ privacy decisions. It aims to empower users to protect their online choices in a human-centric, easy and enforceable manner. ADPC also supports online publishers and service providers to comply with data protection and consumer protection regulations. In this event, we introduce ADPC from both technical and socio-legal perspectives and discuss different challenges ahead. ADPC is co-developed by the Sustainable Computing Lab (WU Wien) and NOYB as a part of our joint RESPECTeD project funded by netidee.
